The power grid transmission capacity of the whole state has increased from 2 million kilowatts to 14.2 million kilowatts, and the cumulative amount of power transmission has reached 587.4 billion kilowatt-hours; a total of 3.916 billion yuan was invested in solving the electricity problems of 83,000 households without electricity, 1205 impoverished villages, and 305,300 impoverished people, thus providing strong support for the poverty alleviation and attack on poverty.

According to Tan Yongxiang, general manager of State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company, the power grid foundation in Sichuan's deeply impoverished areas such as Ganzi Prefecture, Aba Prefecture and Liangshan Prefecture is relatively weak. In recent years, the power supply capacity of the region has been effectively improved through the continuous high-intensity investment in power grid construction. The power supply reliability rate and comprehensive voltage pass rate have increased from 99.20% and 98.30% in 2015 to 99.78% and 98.8% respectively, and the average household distribution capacity has increased from 1.42 kVA to 1.54 kVA. Safe, sufficient and reliable power supply has provided a strong guarantee for the economic and social development of deeply impoverished areas.
